Comprehensive and thoughtful strategies to support your school or districts goals

Learning Design Plan

“Learning Design is defined as an all encompassing term that covers the process, representation, sharing and evaluation of designs from lower level learning activities right up to whole curriculum level designs” - Conole, 2010

The Learning Design Plan (LDP) is considered the “new Technology Plan” - an all encompassing vision for the effective integration of educational technology to curriculum practices across all grade levels and subject areas with an intentional process of teacher development and preparedness. It contains measurable goals and objectives with clearly articulated milestones aligned to assessment and evaluation criteria.

The LDP is a collaborative process that begins with a discovery phase whereby one of our partners coordinates intake meetings with district leadership, building Principals and a wide range of constituents.

What Is Instructional Design?

Instructional design is the systematic process by which instructional materials are designed, developed, and delivered.

The Present Challenge

The majority of instructional design models were published between 1954 and the mid-1990’s – a lot has happened over the last 20-60 years. Yet, the majority of professional development and online learning is being designed with these models or without any instructional design platform. This is why we published IDDEA™. IDDEA™ is founded on a backwards design principle that focuses on intended learner outcomes. Whether applied in a K-12 classroom or an adult learning environment, IDDEA™ leverages available cloud-based technology to house curriculum, assessments and manage learning.

"The Tech Academies provided our teachers with the skills in digital literacy to provide lessons that will prepare our students for their future. The lessons were designed for teachers both at the beginning and advanced levels of digital literacy. It was a great opportunity for our teachers. We look forward to future academies."
