We Are More Than Just Educational Consulting

Eduscape Learning is an innovative developer and provider of professional development, curriculum, and instructional design led by a team of educators. We facilitate the effective integration of technology by teachers in a deliberate manner by aligning learning outcomes to selected standards, including Common Core, STEM and Next Generation Science Standards. Our expertise extends from Google Apps and Microsoft Office 365 to successful classroom implementations of one-to-one initiatives and other classroom technologies, including interactive whiteboards and projectors. We also partner with leading technology manufacturers and resellers, as well as learning management system providers to ensure successful adoption and application of their solutions.

As a recognized leader in the education industry, Eduscape Learning's team of professionals bring many years of combined experience in education and professional development. We assist in every facet of a technology program, including technology management and support, grant writing, technology planning and selection of curriculum-based software.

Having worked with schools and districts of all sizes, both public and private, we can easily relate to specific circumstances and recommend practical and success-based solutions to make technology an asset in your school(s). We have also been selected by foundations as an outsource partner to insure technology grant monies are being properly invested in schools they award, by providing our high level of service.

Luisa Surma

Chief Education Officer

As Chief Learning Officer, Luisa overseas the fidelity and rigor of our instructional offerings to the K-12 market. She leads our entire team of Learning Leaders ensuring that they develop and deliver the highest quality experiences for all learners with innovative approaches to education; including, leading myEduscape; our e-learning division. She also remains actively engaged in delivering high impact workshops to learners from various stakeholder groups.

Luisa brings nearly 10 years of teaching and supervisory experience as an English Teacher and English/World Language and & ESL Supervisor. She also worked for Apple for four years as a Lead Technical Specialist. Luisa possesses a strong knowledge of current curriculum and instructional trends as well as personnel management; and is well versed in assessments and data analysis, UDL, RTI, and literacy development. She has facilitated and assisted in district initiatives and training for instructional strategies; including supporting the needs of diverse learners, delivery methods, assessment, and staff development techniques for improving instruction.

Luisa has her B.A. in English, M.S. in Educational Administration and has taken several credits towards advanced degrees in Special Education and Educational Leadership. She is certified as a Google Level II Trainer, Microsoft Innovative Educator, SMART and extremely well versed in Apple IOS and over a dozen educational applications.

Lanie Gordon

VP of Operations and Partner

Lanie is responsible for day-to-day operations, partner management and district/school relationships.

Lanie has negotiated agreements with most of the leading education and technology organizations that use Eduscape as their professional development partner. She started her career in early education as a kindergarten and 5th grade teacher. She spent several years in the financial services field before joining Eduscape Learning in 2008. In addition to her responsibilities at Eduscape, she is the treasurer of her district's educational foundation. Lanie earned a B.S. in Business Management from Bryant University and a M.S. in Elementary Education from Iona College.

Alex Urrea


Alex has been working in the education market for nearly 20 years. He founded two companies that focused on the effective integration of technology to advance digital learning in traditional classroom environments, and has consulted for leading education companies on new strategy initiatives. His background includes business development, product strategy and financial management.

Alex is also President of an educational foundation that has grown more than tenfold under his leadership. Prior to entering the education market, he was Vice President of Derivative and Equity markets for a major investment bank, overseeing operations in New York and London. He started his career as a High School Physics teacher.
